Erick Mott’s Creatorbase, “Your space to create” is an idea–evoking website dedicated to digital business, social media trends, and out of the box reflections.
Erick and I met at a Forrester CMO roundtable and worked together at a high flying software company in prior lives. In fact, he still flies in those skies.
Erick visited me in Mill Valley, we had a mind-meld to get current with our recent thinking, and then he pulled out his camera. Sitting in the redwoods he posed some questions about my writing. I tried to come up with three take-aways relevant for his readers that helped characters and their business succeed in The Big Disrupter.
I was reminded of Mark Twain’s quote:
“The only difference between reality and fiction is that fiction needs to be credible.”
For example, would you have believed Sony Pictures would release a movie (The Interview) on Christmas day that punched above its weight specifically because they were hacked and threatened by the North Korean Government for their fictional account? Come on!
So, in my business thrillers I have to satisfy Mark Twain’s challenge of credibility. You can check out my short video interview here .
Kudos to Erick for his creativity and social initiative- he has a gold mine of insight at Creatorbase.
